Our facilities, hiring and fees
The Hall is a popular facility for a number of community groups, with the Main Hall and the Walker Room available for hire, with both halls being in use most days and evenings each week. Please see our online events and hiring calendar or Main Hall and Walker Room activities schedules.
When either the Main Hall or the Walker Room are not in use by one of our regular groups, it is available for hire for parties, meetings, workshops and many other uses.

Comeytrowe Community Hall is conveniently situated in the Comeytrowe Centre, Pitts Close, Taunton, TA1 4TY.
The building has a Public Entertainment Licence with two rooms available for hire, the Main Hall and the Walker Room, both rooms are suitable for a variety of uses and each with kitchen facilities and tables and chairs, for further details of the Main Hall and the Walker Room, please click on the menu above.
There are disabled facilities and there is disabled access to all areas of the building as it is conveniently on one level.
The Hall has it’s own car park with parking for 25 vehicles including a designated disabled user space, we politely ask all users not to leave vehicles in the adjacent car park at College Way Surgery.
A PA system and staging is available on request.

All amounts quoted are per hour unless otherwise stated. Please see below for indemnity charge for bookings.

Indemnities
- For casual/general hires, we charge an indemnity of £100.00
- For Children’s parties, we charge an indemnity of £50.00
- The Hall is not available for 18th or 21st birthday parties or on New Year’s Eve.
*Types of hirer explained:
General
This applies to individuals or groups that hire the hall for one off occasions, or on an ad-hoc basis and do not make repeat bookings. General hires must pay the hire charge and an indemnity fee before their hire begins, the indemnity fee will be refunded within 28 days of the hire as long as there is no damage to the hall or facilities during the hire.
Regular
This applies to individuals or groups that hire the hall on a consistent basis at regular intervals whether weekly, monthly or quarterly, for example every Monday 7.00pm – 8.00pm, or the second Tuesday of every month 3.00pm – 5.00pm .
Commercial
This applies to individuals, groups, companies or organisations who are operating an activity for profit where that activity does not benefit the local community. Please speak to the Booking Secretary if you would like further information. The decision of the Hall Management Committee in this matter is final.
